Hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday. I just finished Body Surfing by Anita Shreve and I must say that I enjoyed it. At first I wasn’t sure how I felt about Shreve’s writing style, but as the book went along I began to enjoy it more and more.

Body Surfing is about a 29-year-old woman, Sydney. Sydney agrees to spend the summer at the beach with the Edwards family, tutoring the youngest daughter (Julie). While there Sydney finds herself becoming more and more entrenched in the lives of all of the family members, including the two sons Jeff and Ben. As with any good beach read, there is a romance but it is not what the reader expects in the slightest.
Body Surfing is a quick beach read that I would recommend to anyone who is looking for something light and quick to pass the time. It is an interesting novel and well worth the cost.
