Hey Crazy Kids

in Dating is Fun, Oh Hey

I know, I know. I just popped up in your Google Reader / moved to the top of your rotating blog roll / showed up in your email and you thought… YES! Michelle is back. Yes friends, I am back. I missed blogging for fun too much to give up this little space of internet real estate. Plus where else will you hear about all my fun times in Atlanta if I’m not there to tell you all about them?

So where did we leave off in my life? Let’s see I think I was 22, working and living it up with the girls in the city. Where are we now? I am 23, working and living it up with the girls in the city. As you can see a lot has changed :) .

No, actually life is really good. A couple of my good friends moved to the city and I reconnected with a couple old high school friends recently. I am living in a little one bedroom in the city and have a crazy kitty. All of which you don’t care about. What will really interest all of you is I am heading out on a date tomorrow. Exciting right? I know.

I had forgotten how much I loved the game, the casual texts, the phone calls, the flirting. I had forgotten how much I love to pick out the perfect outfit, scope out the restaurant, just have an evening out with a nice boy.

It’s like my blog. I just forgot how much I had missed it until I was staring at it one day and thought to myself, I need to get back in the game. So I did. I’ll let you know how it goes. We are going go karting and to dinner, which I thought was a super cute idea for a first date. Fun, interactive and much more creative than dinner and a movie, which is a for sure first date cop out. I’ve never understood the point of going out with someone to sit in a dark theater and stare at the screen. No talking, no interaction, no getting to know one another. No movie dates are relationship dates, not I’m getting to know you dates.

So ladies and gents, keep your fingers crossed, lets all hope it goes well and who knows. Maybe you’ll get to hear the progression of a relationship. If not, you’ll get to hear the progression of a series of first dates, which is entertaining in itself.
