heart of the matter – a book review
If you follow me on Twitter, then you might have seen my Tweet about the new Emily Giffin book, heart of the matter. I started it a couple days back and literally couldn’t put it down. It was great. One of the main things I look for in any novel is the strength of the characters. Do they come alive? Can I relate to their emotions? Even if I haven’t been in their situation, have their feelings been written in such a way that I feel as though I understand? Do I fall in love with them? If I can answer yes to two or more of these questions, then I know the book is good. All four – I know it’s going to be a winner. heart of the matter was a 4 question yes.

things to do in atlanta: june 17-20
Screen on the Green is back! After all the mayhem of the first week with Transformers, the weekly Thursday night event is back again with a much tamer movie: Dream Girls. Grab your picnic blankets and dinner and head to Piedmont Park to watch this classic tale based on Diana Ross and the Supremes.
I am really excited for the Red Stripe Light Music Fest. Happening on Saturday the Music Fest is FREE and features music from Better Than Ezra and The Wailers. The fun begins at noon at Candler Park and if you come before 5 p.m. your beer wristband is only $5 – after 5 and the price bumps up to $10. In addition to the music there will be a bunch of other activities and vendors and should prove to be a good time.
