Every morning I have the same routine.

Wake up – roll over and grab my phone to turn of the incessant beeping – check my personal email, my work email, Twitter, Facebook and the weather. Then I hop out of bed do the bathroom shindig and grab a bowl of cereal while going over my schedule for the day and all of the things I need to do (all in my phone).

Throughout the day I constantly find myself tweeting funny things my friends say, checking the news and generally staying pretty connected via that small piece of plastic and metal.

I have not had a smart phone in 4 days. For 2 of those days I had no phone. I expected to feel the sense of freedom everyone says you get when you turn of your phone. You know? Read the rest of this entry »
