Remember that super cool survey that I asked everyone to fill out a long time ago? You know – the one about texting? Well…. almost two months later, I have the results. Honestly I wasn’t surprised at all. Let me know what you think.
1. You meet a person out and get her/his phone number. When are you most likely going to contact her/him? (via text or phone)
The majority (30%) of people will follow up within 1-2 days. This answer was seconded by 20% of people who said they would wait for the person to contact them.

Not sure how I feel about the people who are asking people they’ve just met to hang out every day… but hey to each his/her own… moving on.
4. How important is “texting” to your relationship?
The most popular response was “I like to text at least once a day” (50%) followed by “I love texting, the more the better” (30%).
What I’ve learned is that we are all texting whores reverting back to the days of the telegraph rather than calling someone. Either that or no one is actually working at work, they are just texting…
5. You’ve met someone and exchanged phone numbers. It’s been about a week since the initial meeting and you’ve exchanged a few messages. Would you initiate a conversation?

40 % said they had and they said yes.

7 was boring, it just asked if anyone had ever asked someone out via text. 75% had not. And that’s it kids. The texting result. We love texting, but we are aware that it’s a crappy way to get asked out on a date. However, 40% of the survey takers still said yes… maybe they were dating the people who asked someone to hang out every day?
