myagenda: one step forward in daily organization

One day I’m sure Google will come out with an amazing way for me to keep track of my daily tasks and all of the things I have going on in my life. But right now I’m still a little old school. There’s something to be said for handwriting a to-do list and then picking up the pen and crossing them things off as you complete them. It really brings me a sense of peace and satisfaction. On that note, it’s important to me that I always have paper and pen with me to write things down. I am actively forgetting things – unless that is – I write them down. Once handwritten on a piece of paper, things are seldom forgotten. Well that is, until I loose that paper (totally kidding).

I’ve been hearing a lot of hype about this momAgenda that’s been hitting the market. Everyone says it’s the best agenda out there and I’ve been dying to have one. However there was one major stopping me from rushing to the website and picking up a copy. The name. Hideous. What (childless) 23 year old  wants to carry around an agenda that says MOM right on the front? Talk about a kiss of death.

Today I caved. I visited the website, I took stock of the products and I ordered. GASP. No. I did not order a heinously named momagenda (sorry all you moms out there). I ordered myagenda. The young girly version of the momagenda. So it’s paid for, it’s in the mail and I will let you know if it’s transformed my life and worth the 50 price tag (shipping included). Sigh. Why are good planners always so costly?

let’s call a spade a spade: things i want

Every so often I get a little bit closer to creating my dream apartment. This past weekend I was able to add a bit to the place and it got me thinking about the finished product. So here it is kids, a photo collage of all the items I would have in my dream apartment.

Wall clock and picture frame can be found at Pier 1. Basket available at Target. Coffee table, pillow shams and jewelry display from Pottery Barn.

It’s love.

oh my… it’s like love at first sight… for the second time

Today my baby sister blogged about her love for vintage luggage on her lovely blog, and that reminded me of a certain luggage I fell in love with back in February, 2009. Being the scatterbrained smart girl that I am, I had since forgotten about the expensive, yet beautiful luggage that I had fallen in love with. However, thanks to the Bear, I have fallen in love all over again – for the second time.

SteamLine Luggage. You might have seen it in Elle, Lucky, Daily Candy or Little Miss Michelle (bah – as though my little blog compares). But isn’t it beautiful? Every time I look at my broken, blue boring luggage, I think about SteamLine Luggage and wish I had $200 to spend on a beautiful yellow and cream vanity case or suitcase. The images I’ve shown are a peak into the new and redesigned pieces that are launching in 2010. Perhaps my new luggage?

Sigh… one day.
