let’s call a spade a spade: things i want
Every so often I get a little bit closer to creating my dream apartment. This past weekend I was able to add a bit to the place and it got me thinking about the finished product. So here it is kids, a photo collage of all the items I would have in my dream apartment.
Wall clock and picture frame can be found at Pier 1. Basket available at Target. Coffee table, pillow shams and jewelry display from Pottery Barn.
It’s love.
happiness is clean clothes whenever you want them
I have been living in my apartment since last September. Since then I have been dutifully carting my dirty clothes, sheets, towels, wash clothes, rugs, you get the picture to the laundromat in Midtown every 2 or 3 weeks. After 9 months, I couldn’t take it any more. I have successfully rented a washer and dryer and really the cost is about the same.YAY! no more sitting on uncomfortable chairs while my clothes wash. YAY! No more shoving as many items as I possibly could into one washer. YAY! no more planning outfits based on what Spanx are clean. YAY! no more contemplating buying more towels simply because none of mine were clean. This is like a summer birthday present to myself.
Happy birthday America and happy clean laundry Michelle. I couldn’t be happier!
Welcome to the Real World…
Happy Wednesday Everyone! This will be a culmination of randomness.
Let’s see, where did we leave off? I think I was going out on a date with a new boy on Friday. It went really well. 5.5 hours later I was looking at a clock and realizing how late it was and that I had to go. It was just, well, great. We clicked and time flew. We’ve chatted almost every day since and had a 2 hour phone convo on Sunday. It’s been fun. I can’t stop smiling.
Tomorrow is the culmination of a lot of hard work for me. We’ve been heavily promoting a conference and it seems as though this year will mark the largest turnout ever. I am really excited to see how it all comes together. So great.
Normally I would be trying to hit the sack around this time, but it appears that the lovely girl who lives above me has decided to throw herself a little party. So annoying. You would think that in a non college apartment in Atlanta, I would be safe from the crazies. Apparently not.
Have I put up pictures of my baby kitty? No? Well now is the time. Her name is Lily, but I call her kitty. So really – her name is kitty. You can dream about her tonight
P.S. I promise to write a real blog soon. One with thought – and effort. But until then, adios
